Now that you have gotten through Intro, SkillBuilder 1, and Skillbuilder 2, it’s time to take your shooting to the next level and start working from your holster!
We are going to start where we left off with SkillBuilder 2, then get you safely and effectively starting every drill with a holstered firearm. You will then move onto strategies for engaging multiple targets, as well as moving to make yourself less of a target!
What you will need to bring:
– Outside the waistband holster. We are requiring a holster on the outside of your clothing to avoid unnecessary safety issues. This can be a belt holster or a “paddle Holster”,but must not have any clothing covering it. We recommend Kydex (or plastic), but if you have a different material, that may also work for this class. If in doubt, please email Dockery.r@gmail.com or stop in. This is not a purse draw class…that will be on a later date. Also, no holsters designed to fit on the small of your back.
– 2 (or more) magazines. 2 will work but if you have more…bring them!
– At least 200 rounds of ammunition. You know how the classes work now…you may need a little more.
– Hat, Eye Protection, Ear Protection, closed-toed shoes, and a high-neck shirt (like a t-shirt).
– Water. We will stop often to hydrate.
– Protective Mask
– Optional: If you have a magazine pouch that fits on your waistband, bring it along as it makes magazine changes easy. You can still use your pocket or your waistband without a pouch, however.
