Civilian Church Defense: April 06

April 6 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Our goal is to build skilled and capable members of the congregation that can identify and address a deadly threat in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, while maintaining the safety of those around them.

This training is designed to develop a particular set of skills in individuals who have made the personal decision to protect themselves and the lives of others while within the unique environment that exists in houses of worship.

In this class you will learn the following:

  • Characteristics and motives of church shootings
  • Critical components of church defense
  • Incident Dynamics
  • Phases of Church Defense development
  • Situational Awareness and Threat Identification
  • Engaging threats in a 360 degree environment
  • Shoot/No-Shoot decision making
  • Firearms manipulation in a crowded /chaotic environment
  • Navigating an incident while effectively addressing the threat

This is a fast-moving class.  If you are taking this class you should own a firearm and be familiar with safely loading, unloading, and firing your weapon.  We will not be working with live firearms in class but instead with SIRT pistols in a sanctuary environment.  All required equipment will be provided.

Please arrive about 10 minutes early.  Our location is in Palm Bay and we will provide all location details once you have been confirmed in class.

Class will run from 9:00am to 4:00pm with 1 hour for lunch.  Please wear sneaker type shoes as there is much moving in this class.

If you have any questions please call 321-210-4245 or email Richard@ChurchDefense.org
