“Breaking the Stereotype”…Melissa’s Journey

Hello Femme Fatale Fans!  I am excited to introduce myself, Melissa Christensen, a (soon to be) proud graduate of Femme Fatale's Basic Firearm CCW class!  Whoo-hoo!!

Hello Femme Fatale Fans!  I am excited to introduce myself, Melissa, a (soon to be) proud graduate of Femme Fatale’s Basic Firearm CCW class!  Whoo-hoo!!  I will then proceed on through their entire program,  ranging from Form & Accuracy, AR-15, their 3 part Skill Builder Series, Defensive Shotgun, and onto the Defensive Tactics.  I hope you will participate with me!!….and follow my journey from a TOTAL Newbie, to what I anticipate, to becoming a “Little Sure Shot”!   Full of confidence and complete comfort handling my firearm.

I plan to document my experience from beginning to end, with pictures, and lots of feed back from other class attendees.  I am truly excited to step through this doorway, into what seems to be at this time, the hidden society of Female shooters.  However, I am told, by Maria and Richard Dockery, the owners of this fine establishment, that it is actually broad and wide, running deep, and becoming more so all the time.

Hmmmmm……why is that?  WHO are these females?…..they certainly are not the “Stereotypical Gun  Enthusiasts”.  Generally old men with an arrogant attitude are what people who want more gun control envision when wanting to limit or take firearms away from Americans.

Here is what we want YOU to do….get involved with us!  Send a photo of you…….

BREAKING THE STEREOTYPE!

We will create a slideshow of women, women you’d never imagine owning a firearm, but that DO!  Please tell us your “why” for wanting a firearm.

We cannot WAIT to see your gorgeous faces, ALL ages, ALL backgrounds, EVERY race, profession, mother, daughter,  and grandmother!!  We want to include you!  We will make it worth your time……there will be a nice incentive to kick this campaign off the ground!  TBA…..

I’ll Go First: as stated above, my name is Melissa, I am a 48 year old mother of 4.  I want to own and carry my own firearm because I CAN….I want to feel secure and prepared for any future.

I love the Mission of Femme Fatale Arms & Training:

To Create a World Filled with Empowered Women.

I plan to be one of them.

I’ll see you on the range,

Melissa

  1. I’m a 52 year old mother of two who decided to take firearms classes and own a firearm because my Constitution affords me that right. I also wanted it for self-defense. I’ve taken the Concealed Carry class (and now have my license.) I’ve also taken Form & Accuracy and all three Skill Builders classes. I feel 100% confident in handling my firearm. I’m no longer scared of them! All instruction and the purchase of my firearm were made through Femme Fatale, Ladies Gun Store. Excellent service, guidance, and instruction!

  2. I am excited to be following in your footsteps Donna!! That is the feeling I am “shooting” for! 🙂
