Estate Firearm Purchases

Dealing with the loss of a loved one is difficult enough without worrying about the firearms they left behind.
Here are a few things you should know about those firearms.
  • The guns become the property of the surviving spouse/family the same as with any other personal property.

  • There is no gun registration in Florida that requires you to do anything with the guns to prove you own them.

  • You are free to give or sell the guns yourself.

    • You have three options to sell the guns.

      • You can sell them to a private party as long as they can legally own a firearm in the state of Florida.

      • You can use a licensed dealer to facilitate the sale of the firearm to a private party.

      • You can sell the guns to a licensed dealer who will give you a receipt for each firearm.

  • If you choose to sell the firearms to a dealer, contact them by phone first.

  • Call us at 321-327-3790.

  • Do not attempt to move the firearms unless you are able to make certain that they are unloaded.

  • We will discuss options for transport or arrange a home visit depending on the number of firearms involved.

  • We will give you a cash offer and receipt for all the firearms we purchase from you.

  • You will have the option to "trade" the firearms for one that fits you and possibly have some money left over to take one of our training classes.

  • You will have peace of mind knowing that the firearms will only be resold to individuals who are legally able to own a firearm.
